Maria Kolesova-Gudilina No Longer President of the Belarusian Association of Human Rights Lawyers

The Belarusian Association of Human Rights Lawyers announced on its Telegram channel that, as of October 16, Maria Kolesova-Gudilina is no longer the President of the Association. The post also states that anyone wishing to contact the association can email its Council at info@bahrl.org.

On her social media page, Kolesova-Gudilina remarked, "This experience was invaluable for me. I wish my colleagues success in their future endeavors."

The Belarusian Association of Human Rights Lawyers was established in 2023 by attorneys deprived of their right to practice in Belarus. The Association’s aims include representing attorneys to international peers, addressing common challenges, supporting colleagues in Belarus, building professional competencies, and upholding high standards of the profession, which may one day lay the groundwork for democratic reforms in the Belarusian bar.
