On January 18, the Ministry of Justice of Belarus convened a regular session of the Qualification Commission for Advocacy. The Commission decided to terminate the licences of attorneys Svetlana Birilova and Anton Novitski due to their 'inability to perform professional duties because of poor expertise.' Additionally, the licence of Aleksei Sokalau was revoked 'for committing a misdemeanour incompatible with the title of attorney, involving actions that discredit the title of attorney and the Bar.' The Commission further determined that attorneys Natalia Konodo and Igor Ryzhiy are also incapable of fulfilling their professional duties 'due to poor expertise.'
